Green lights for William Hill’s CG Technology

William Hill continues their expansion into the American Market?with recent takeover deal with CG Technology; expanding their Las Vegas footprint to several marquee resorts

In Las Vegas, the Nevada Gaming Commission has approved William Hill’s takeover of CG Technology. This massive takeover?will give the British sports betting operator the right to operate sports books at the Venetian Las Vegas, Palazzo, Tropicana Las Vegas, Cosmopolitan of Las Vegas, Palms, and Silverton.?

William Hill Joe AherWilliam Hill CEO Joe Asher said: “There are some things we will do a little differently. We just wanted to get the finish line. We’ve invested millions into sportsbooks in this state.”?

Furthermore, William Hill is closing in on another 11 Nevada sportsbooks, including nine located on or near the Strip, owned by Caesars Entertainment, which?is being bought out by one of William Hill’s partners Eldorado Resorts.?

Additionally,?William Hill manages sports books at five downtown Las Vegas casinos, namely The Strat, the Downtown Grand, Binion’s, the Plaza, and Four Queens.?

The deal also includes CG’s operations at the Atlantis on Paradise Island. John Moran Jr.?Chairman of the Nevada Gaming Commission said of CG Technology, who incurred fines of $9m since 2014: “CG will be gone and take some of that baggage with them.”?

Mr. Asher, who worked for CG?said “We are pleased to have reached this agreement. This will allow us to expand our Las Vegas footprint to several marquee resorts. We look forward to working with our new casino partners and transitioning CG Technology retail and mobile customers to our award-winning offering.”?

The Nevada Gaming Commission is a?Nevada?state governmental agency involved in the?regulation of casinos?throughout the state, along with the?Nevada Gaming Control Board. Phil Katsaros of the Nevada Gaming Control Board will be speaking at SiGMA?Asia?as a VIP Keynote speaker?on 27 May in Manila, the Philippines.
